THE BEGINNING OF BLOGGING!!

Hello Homo sapiens!!

This is my first attempt at blogging. Suggestions and comments will be given a warm welcome….

Well, for a kick-off, my early thoughts about bloggers and thus blogging were pretty erroneous. When I saw slam books and website registrations asking for your ‘Blog Page’, I used to think— “Blogging is for the lesser minded. For people who have absolutely nothing constructive to do, for people who waste their precious time writing about love & life experiences and such trash! I have much better things to do in life than blogging. I have set myself more serious goals than blabbering crap about myself. Moreover, why should I know about other guys?” and the like.

The reason for this was mainly my complete ignorance towards creative writing. I rarely indulged myself in such activities except for the occasional instances of poetry and essay writing competition in school. I had to participate because it was compulsory in my school. My not winning prizes in any of these competitions didn’t help the cause anyway.

I had the same idea about writing, until recently, when I wrote a small passage about ‘Math’ for my sister. I spent about 90 min to do the whole thing. And to be frank I loved the time I spent on it. I really didn’t know writing about something could be such fun.

I was discussing about blogging with my pals (who, by the way, write awesome blogs). I asked my friend Anirudh-“What is a blog actually? Because I am thinking of starting one”. He said-“Its just an expression of your thoughts. U don’t do it for others to read. Start one man. You’ll know what I mean. It’ll be brilliant”. I asked him for a topic to start off. He said-“Write about anything u want man”. My next question-“Ok, how to open a blog?”. My friend Madhu guided me. “Go to Gmail macha. Log in. And go to blogspot.com and follow the steps”. And next “How to start writing?”. My pal Karthik asked me-“Are you planning for an awesome opening to your blog?”. I got excited thinking there’s an opening for me. I said-“Yeah! Absolutely!”. He said-“Dude, if you have something like that in mind, you will never start!”. I was taken aback.

Whether, what he said is right or wrong, I don’t know. I assumed he was right. And this is a result of my assumption. I hope it’s a good start. If not ill try again hoping my next blog will be better than this one.

That’s all for now, folks.
